It’s Bancamp Friday. All sales go to the artists. I made a single of two songs that didn’t make the cut for The Way to Grace. One shattered, one sweet. Take care. https://dustykeleher.bandcamp.com/album/the-way-to-grace-outtake-single

Hi, a few new videos on https://www.youtube.com/dustykeleher
Farmers Market Busking For Shut Ins continues at facebook.com/dustykelehermusic/live/
Every Saturday Morning 10am til Noon ADT.

May 3, 2020

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well during this time of lockdown.

I continue to perform what I’m calling Farmers Market Busking for Shut Ins every Saturday morning over at www.facebook.com/dustykelehermusic/live/ Hopefully adding some normalcy to our Saturday mornings. A chance to tune in for a few minutes while having breakfast or unpacking your groceries.

I had plans to re release 2003’s Wanderers Grounds on vinyl this year and I may still do that but the pandemic has delayed those plans. The record was nominated for best folk/roots record by the Music Industry of Nova Scotia (now known as Music Nova Scotia). I made some changes to the original release. Two songs didn’t age well and there was one recorded and mixed at the time but for some forgotten reason was left off the first pressing. These two songs have been dropped and the third put back on. It can be found on bandcamp.com/dustykeleher.

Also on the bandcamp page is a song I found on an old hard drive. A silly blues songs called In The Doghouse.

March 28, 2020

For the next couple of weeks I will be performing at home for live streaming at facebook.com/dustykelehermusic. Every Saturday morning, as if it were a trip to the farmers market, I’ll sing for a couple hours. 9:30 -11:30.

Be safe everyone.

The Road to Connemara; songs and stories in the old style, the full 2018 Halifax Fringe show, is now up on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SinFU0GeUxs

Dusty Keleher writes songs that tell a good story and searches out gems from the past that do the same.

Simply put, roots/traditional music that takes its cue from ancient Irish ballads to songs from the folk and folk/rock canon. Original modern day tales on subjects far and near.

From whatever genre and tradition he draws on, Dusty brings a heartfelt soul to all the songs he sings.

Currently booking for and beyond! Concerts, workshops, music festivals, and cultural events.

A song about my great great grandparents. He was a butcher in downtown Halifax (and probably the last Irish speaker in my family) and she was living in the Austinville neighbourhood of Dartmouth. We don't know how they may have met so this is sort of a speculation, figuring they were both catholic, and he would have traveled to the farms on that side of the harbour.

The first track from The Road to Conamara, the companion album to The Way to Grace. Together they make up a double CD and Lp release. The Way to Grace is original songs accompanied by a band. Folk music with Americana and Celtic influences. The Road to Conamara is sung acapella with stories.

I'm an adept of ghost walks - took them in at least five other cities - and i can safely say that Dusty was the best ghost tour guide I've ever had the pleasure to meet. My niece and her partner had never took a ghost tour and it was the best possible way to introduce them to it. Dusty is a gifted storyteller; he has a knack for commanding attention and weaving an ambiance. The whole crowd was hanging to his every word and it was obvious he's passionate about the subject. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Our entire family, including our 10 and 8 year old, loved the ghost walk. There was a lot of laughs and a few screams, mostly from me. The kids are still talking about it today. Dusty does a great job of storytelling!! I would definitely recommend this to everyone who visits Halifax.

Dusty is a spectacular storyteller. Yes, the group was a bit large. And the stops can be a bit awkward. However, it's completely worth it!
Think of it as a small nuisance to experience a master at his craft. Highly recommend to other history and ghost enthusiasts.
