The Halifax Ghost Walk is a 1 hour and 40 minute walk through Halifax’s historic city streets with tales of ghosts, spirits, forerunners and devils with maybe a hanging or two thrown in for good measure.
Stories collected from the folklore of Nova Scotia.
All supported with a good dose of local history to give context to the ghost stories themselves.

The tour takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

My wife and I did the Halifax Ghost Tour with Dusty, and it was fantastic. He knows the city’s haunted history inside and out and tells it in a way that makes time feel wonderfully wibbly-wobbly. Every story hit the perfect mix of facts, suspense, and humor.
Dusty’s a natural performer. Quick with a grin, switching from funny to spinetingling in a heartbeat. Some stories could make an angel weep (and don’t blink, you might miss something). He has that subtle dash of eccentric genius, and it was a pleasure to be one of his traveling companions through history for an evening.
It wasn’t just a tour, it felt like a crazy little adventure through Halifax’s shadows. Geronimo! If you love history, mystery, or ghost stories told with style, Dusty’s your man!

We had Dusty as our tour guide, and I have to say he is the best storyteller I've ever come across! He spun the stories and folklore in a fun and dramatic way that kept you interested and curious for more. We had a big group for the tour and he was still able to engage everyone and provide some good spooks along the way. Not only was the tour amazing, but Dusty also kept the group safe and together while travelling the streets of Halifax at night. Highly highly recommend to everyone

Highly recommend! Dusty is an AMAZING story teller and really knows how to pull you into the tale. Doing the tour in the fall was perfect since it was dark already during the entire tour but not too cold. If you are looking for a fun way to learn about Halifax's history and believe even a little bit in ghosts, this is the tour for you.

Had a wonderful time on Wednesday night with this tour! Dusty is great storyteller and makes learning the history of Halifax a lot of fun! You can tell he has a real passion for history and lore which definitely comes through in his presentation. We had lots of laughs and were captivated by the stories. Also nice to have the opportunity to chat and learn a bit more during the walk between locations. Highly recommend.

Had such a fun time on the ghost walk in Halifax last night! 👻 Our guide was super animated and passionate about the topic, sharing amazing stories about the city’s history, the Titanic, and the Halifax Explosion. Dusty’s Ghost Walk was a great experience for two history buffs. We were only in Halifax for one day and didn’t have time for a daytime walking tour. This evening adventure was steeped in history with a touch of mystery and macabre. Making reservations by email and paying on site by phone was convenient and easy. Dusty puts so much heart and work into his storytelling, and it really shows. He’s incredibly theatrical and entertaining — truly an experience all on his own. I took the Ghost Walk about a month ago, and it was actually my second time (the first being 10–15 years ago). I loved that he shared different ghost stories this time around, which kept it fresh and exciting.

I took the tour in June with my father while visiting from Ottawa, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Dusty was a brilliant guide and storyteller, mixing the paranormal and historical sides of Halifax with theatrical flair, good humor, and excellent timing. If you're looking for a unique way to learn some of the city's history, and don't mind getting a few shivers that you can't blame on the damp of the harbor, this one's for you!|

I have done ghostly walking tours in Victoria, BC and Vancouver also in Scotland. I thought I would do halifax and I am so glad I did. Dusty really brought history and the ghosts come alive. If you're touring the East coast you have to do The Halifax Ghost Walk. Not only will Dusty share spooky stories and historical facts, he will be the most enthused, theatrical storyteller that is worth every dollar you spend. We had a small group tour on a rainy and foggy night, perfect addition to the dramatics of it all. Dusty is great at engaging with the crowd and great at bringing every story he tells to life. Such a fun experience, we are so happy we were able to tour Halifax with Dusty as our guide.

We had so much fun on this walk. Our guide, Dusty, is a terrific storyteller. He really throws himself into the stories, adding a few little jump scares for effect. We had kids around 8-10 yo on our tour who just loved it just as much as the adults did. We spent about 90 minutes walking from the Citidel down to the waterfront, stopping in half a dozen locations for history and ghost tales. It’s a nice night out.

Let me start by saying I have been on many ghost tours in the US and in Canada. This ghost walk was one of the best. Our guide Dusty was great. His story telling had everyone on the edge of there seats the whole time. Not only was it a ghost tour but also a history lesson. My family loved every minute of it and wished it hadn't ended.

I have been on ghost walks in Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa and ones in England, but I can honestly say that the Halifax Ghost Walk is the BEST one I have ever been on! Dusty, our guide, must be a trained actor. He just commanded attention and his tales were engaging, entertaining and genuinely spooky!! He clearly loves what he does and it shows! If you ever go to Halifax, this tour is a must!!

I'm an adept of ghost walks - took them in at least five other cities - and i can safely say that Dusty was the best ghost tour guide I've ever had the pleasure to meet. My niece and her partner had never took a ghost tour and it was the best possible way to introduce them to it. Dusty is a gifted storyteller; he has a knack for commanding attention and weaving an ambiance. The whole crowd was hanging to his every word and it was obvious he's passionate about the subject. Our entire family, including our 10 and 8 year old, loved the ghost walk. There was a lot of laughs and a few screams, mostly from me. The kids are still talking about it today. Dusty does a great job of storytelling!! I would definitely recommend this to everyone who visits Halifax.

Dusty is a spectacular storyteller. Yes, the group was a bit large. And the stops can be a bit awkward. However, it's completely worth it!
Think of it as a small nuisance to experience a master at his craft. Highly recommend to other history and ghost enthusiasts.
